No cloud AI provider or remote analysis fallback is used in the Mac App Store edition. File analysis runs on your Mac. A folder you choose may still be synchronised by iCloud Drive, another sync service, a network server or your backup software.
Open Manage AI to see the exact reason. Identifile will show whether the engine is starting, a supported model must be selected or downloaded, the model needs to be tested, or the connection failed. Logical Renaming remains available without AI.
The local AI engine is included. Model data is optional and downloaded only when you choose it. Storage requirements and result quality vary by model and Mac.
Logical Renaming can rename originals or create renamed copies. AI Organise creates copies in the destination you choose and leaves the source files in place.
Identifile supports undo and rollback for supported completed operations while the relevant files remain available and unchanged. Undo is not a substitute for a backup.
A Droplet is a small Mac app made from a saved Identifile workflow. Keep it on the Desktop, in Finder, in a project folder or in the Dock. Drag files or folders onto it to load that preconfigured setup, review the proposed changes and run the batch.
Use the Apple Account that purchased Identifile or redeemed its promo code. Choose Check App Store Purchase in Identifile and complete Apple’s sign-in if requested. Check your connection or reinstall Identifile from your App Store purchases if the record remains unavailable.
No Identifile licence key is required for the Mac App Store edition, and your files are not sent during the purchase check.
Email us with the Identifile version, macOS version, the workflow you were using and a clear description of what happened.
